Ford Anglia 105E in the Snow
The artist Adam Barsby beautifully captures the echoes of a time now long past. During the 1960s, The Ford Anglia 105E was used as a ‘Panda’ car. The car was used for local policing as opposed to high-speed pursuits. In this scene, I imagine that the police officer is gently warning the children of the dangers of sledding near the road.
The artist grew up in Leicester, UK, during the 70s and 80s. A different time, when wireless meant the radio and playing in the street was the norm. Adam later went on to attend the ‘Kent Institute of Art and Design’ where he achieved a first-class honours degree in 1992.
