Although not a muscle car, the Ford Anglia E4930A became popular with enthusiasts due to its size and chassis. It has often been used by ‘Hot Rodders’ who swap out the engine for more powerful engines, including V8s.
In fact, the Ford Anglia E4930A was the first Ford Anglia to be sold in America and Canada. It also had a bigger 1172 cc engine than its 933 cc Ford Anglia E494A counterpart giving it 10hp.

This was a more powerful version of the Ford Anglia E494A that was built for the export market, mainly the United states and Canada.

Both the Ford Anglia E4930A and the Ford Anglia E494A shared the same chassis design and dimensions. E4930A was the designation for the export model. Both models are based on the Ford Anglia E04A design.
